If your leg is broken, would you wait to call the doctor? Probably not! Then, why wait to get help when your heart is broken?
Grief is normal after the loss of a baby. It can change every part of your life: your feelings, thoughts, actions, beliefs, health, and relationships with other people.
Some people say you have to let go and move on with your life, but they don’t tell you how.
We are here to help you start the healing journey. Below, are resources that will provide support and connection to others.
Free Healing Circles
The Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Initiative offers healing circles for women and men who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or the death of an infant. During the 8-week group sessions, grief counselors will give you information to help you deal with your loss. You will also connect with other people who have experienced loss. Healing circles are held at YWCA Greater Cleveland (4019 Prospect Avenue Cleveland, Ohio 44103). For more information, contact (216) 295-0283 or BlackInfantLossSociety@gmail.com.
Life changes can be difficult, but you do not have to go through the journey alone. To see a list of licensed grief counselors who can help you deal with your loss, download the grief resource guide.
